Surprise!!!

Brittany and I threw my dad a suprise party on Saturday night for his 50th birthday, and guess what my job was? I had to be the one to get him out of the house (not easy to do with my dad) So here was the plan: Brittany called him Thursday and told him that she had to work on Saturday, but when she got off, all of us would go out to his house for cake & ice cream, here is where I come in. I call my dad Saturday morning, and tell him that Brandon is going hunting with his dad so me and the kids will come out early and go to dinner before Brittany and Kale come out. So me and the kids get out to Tooele around 4:00pm, the play with grandpa for a little bit and then I suggest that we should get going to dinner so that we can be back when Brittany and Kale arrive. Well, dad has to shower, and then he has to shave, all of this, and I'm hoping that we can get out before guests start to arrive. I put the kids in the car, call Brittany to tell her we are heading out in 5 min., we leave for dinner, and the crew arrives (including Brandon who was not really hunting) to put the party together. I promise that this gets exciting, keep reading. I call Brittany when we are done with dinner and say to her "Are you out to dads house yet? Ok, we are on our way, we just left Applebee's." The whole time that I am driving my dad back to his house, his surprise party, my stomach has butterflys, we come around the corner of the mountain, looking up to his house and his response is "What in the hell is going on? God Damn it!" he attempts to jerk the steering wheel in the opposite direction, and then he trys to open his door to jump out, WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING! We arrive at the party and instantly everyone is asking me what his reaction was. "If only you could have been in the car with us!" Needless to say, MY DAD HAD A GREAT TIME! Thank you to my mom, to Tina and to everyone else that made this such a success, I know that he will never forget that day.

We love you dad!

The Big 50!!!

Happy 50th Birthday to my Dad. We had a big surprise party for him on Saturday night, and let's just say that for a few minutes, my life was in danger (pics coming soon). HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! We love you.

Beer For My Horses

Saturday night was the Toby Keith concert, we all had a fun night. This might just be one of the funnest concerts that I have been to. We went with Reed, Lisa, Colby & Amanda. So my friend Kim had front row seats and told me to text her when Toby came on stage and she would give me her ticket so that I could get front row pictures, well she didn't respond to my text and wasn't waiting for me up front, so I asked one of the ushers if Lisa & I could get past her just a little bit to try and get a good picture, she replied with "follow me and I will take you up front to get your pictures" we were able to get so close and take some pictures.

All of us before the concert

Happy Anniversary

Brandon and I celebrated our anniversary over this past weekend, 6 years! We spent the night up in Park City and had a great time, just the two of us. We did some shopping for us as well as some winter clothes for the kids, and then enjoyed dinner. And so much for sleeping in, the hotel fire alarms were going off at 8:30am Sunday morning. We both threw on our sweatshirts and headed to Starbuck's, when we returned they were allowing us back in the building and firefighters said it was just a false alarm. We still had a great time and thanks to my mom, my dad and my grandma for helping us with the kids.

Happy Anniversary to My Wonderful Husband. I love you!

Dog Poop, Yuck!

Ashtyn has decided that she doesn't like to play outside if there is any sign of poop in the yard from the dogs. The other day she decided to get her little garden shovel and clean up the yard(with some help from her little brother) Brandon says she can have that chore.

How funny is this!?

This picture of Ashtyn sitting inside of her play sink was taken last year, just 2 months after Skyler was born.

And, look what Skyler now enjoys doing a year and a half later.
